Text | GRANITEVILLE - Jerry Reu- ben Hilton died Friday in an Au- gusta hospital. Mr. Hilton, 65 resided at 517 Trolley Line Road. The funeral will take place to- day at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Graniteville, with the Rev. Milford Oswald officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, Langley. Mr. Hilton was a native of Vida- lia, Ga., and was a veteran of World War II. He was retired from United Merchants and Man- ufacturers, Inc., and also worked at the family's Shumway Seed Co. Mr. Hilton was a member of Star Masonic Lodge No. 99 A & FM, and of the First Baptist Church. He was a member of the Men?s Bible Class. Surviving are his widow, Thel- ma G. Hilton; two sons, Charles A. Hilton and Jerry Wayne Hilton, both of Graniteville; and three sis- ters, Claudia Durden, Langley, Thelma Wilson, Greenwood, and Marie Causey, Vidalia, Ga.; neices and nephews. Honorary pallbearers are Hen- ry Coleman, Arlie Eubanks, Bill Knight, Preston Posey Sr., Clyde Strom, and E.C. Thomas. Friends may call at the resi- dence. | |
